Why is it that some people make dream after dream come true, while others just continue dreaming and spend their lives building dreams for someone else?

One simple reason those that are "successful" have found their SLIGHT EDGE!

The Slight Edge is not just another self-help, motivation tool of methods you must learn in order to make it up the path of success. It simply shows you how to create powerful results from the simple daily activities of your life, by using tools that are already within you.

What do you need to make that happen? Discover that one thing that will help you achieve that goal, realize a life-long dream or propel you up the ladder to success.

Once you've got it, then you will discover how your philosophy... creates your attitude... creates your actions... creates your results... creates YOUR LIFE!

The Slight Edge is a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to the success you desire. The Slight Edge is the key that will make all the other how-to books and self-help information that you read, watch and hear actually work.

Our favorite endorsements are from our readers

I have read personal-development books for over 20 years and I can say this is the one that tied them all together. It is so easy to read and understand, and so powerful in the simplicity.

I use this philosophy throughout my day. I ve become a better person all around. I was able to correct my negative outlooks. I m a better role model for my children, my health is getting better, I m more connected spiritually, my relationships are improving, and my business is thriving. It is a must-have and a must-read.

The Slight Edge Turning Simple Disciplines Into Massive Success Jeff Olson 0089094021450 Books

About two years ago I had this book as a complimentary gift. I got curious and played the CD during my commute to and from work/errands. Long story short, I had much better awareness of myself and was able to do the simple but powerful things that guarantees success in all its forms. The message in this book is no secret The author puts it in a way that is uncomplicated and realistic. Right at the beginning of the book the author tells you that this is not "quantum leap" type of book. The author is honest enough to tell you that you don't need a 2000 year-old gurus or mantra to get the life you envision. I liked this book because of its simplicity and directness. The author also does an excellent job on explain how to make the law of "sowing and reaping" to work in our advantage...if we have patience and are realistic.
Fast forward 2 years, I lost all 3 CDs. I'm one of those people who believe that building character takes not just practice, but also constant exposure to the sources that reminds us the fundamentals.
Last week I had to decide whether to achieve the CCIE certification program. In my industry, this program is known to be for the elites professionals. it is said that "less than 3% of Cisco Certified engineers obtain CCIE certification and less than 1% of the networking professionals worldwide." The process of obtaining this requires iron will, brains, and patience.
Long story short, I decided to go after and obtain that CCIE cert. I knew I needed something to keep me not just motivated but also to remind me of the core principles to achieve full potential. I selected 3 books that I will use as moral compass. I selected this book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, As A Man Thinketh, and Brian Tracy's Eat That Frog!
In a nutshell, I would recommend The Slight Edge to anyone willing to not just live a successful life, but also achieve the inner peace that comes when we know we are living up to our core principles.

The Slight Edge Turning Simple Disciplines Into Massive Success Jeff Olson 0089094021450 Books Reviews

I have always told my class this; but never so elegantly as he puts it in the book.

There are long reviews and so I will give the short one

Two concepts basically

to quote Jim Rohn who inspired the book

"Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced everyday." And that is what this book is about success is doing things that are simple to do, the only problem is, these things are simple to do, but they are also simple NOT TO DO. The slight edge decision, compounded over time, makes a drastic difference.

In order to succeed, you have to "Master the Mundane". The seemingly trivial mundane daily tasks repeated over and over again, compounds.

Success is not revolutionary; it is evolutionary, one mundane disciplined task at a time. When you repeat the mundane task with the slight edge in your favor, then you have called upon the most powerful force in the world; compound interest. Your life is a compound interest; it can work for you or against you.

"I know not what the 7 wonders of the world are, but I know the 8th is compound interest" (Baron Rothchild)

Should be on the bookshelf of everybody who wants to succeed. It should sit right between "Think and Grow Rich" and "The Richest Man in Babylon". It is on my shelf.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This should be required reading. I give this book as graduation gifts to everybody.
Advice Read the book with a highlighter.
This is a simple book with an outstanding message about the importance of each day. Every single day matters for our success. It's just as easy to do the things you need to do as it is NOT to do the things you need to do to succeed. I enjoyed it so much that I sent it to my coaching clients too. Fantastic! “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do."
Jeff Olson sets the stage by asking the all important question why are some people in better physical health, better off financially, great personal relationships and more free time? it's their philosophy the way they think and what they believe! the right habits and actions compounded over a long period of time that takes them to success.. while unsuccessful people make daily errors in judgment habitually over a long period of time and leads them to failure, and anyone at anytime in their life can make a choice to change.
No secrets in this book, just time tested wisdom and universal laws that can be applied by anyone committed to their success.
It was spoken a bit too fast at the beginning of the cd. I would love to see the book on audible audio. It is the type of information you want to hear repeatedly. I love how in the book the author encapsulates the main points at the end of each chapter. All of his ways of wording this wisdom have sticking power! That is crucial to making it work in real life. Thank you for your service!
